It was time. Our seedlings were crowding for light and room in those little cells. Here’s the photo timeline of our progress: It was a nice warm overcast afternoon so we moved outside to transplant our seedlings into 4 inch pots One plant grown in a soil block, placed in the 4″ pot after removing the lower leaves. Then filled with soil and buried the stem. Here’s a closeup of those hairs on the stem that will grow into new roots in just a few days. Each pot is placed in a tray of water to allow the soil to soak up as much moisture as it could before return the newly transplanted into a protected area for the next few days to harden off.
