Do you Dare?

We are pushing the season by a few weeks but we planted 2 tomato plants outside on Friday!

OK – we did cheat a little. Our plants are protected from cold and wind by a product called Wall Of Water.
There are a few different versions of this product on the market but they follow the same principle. The sun warms the water within the tubes of water during the day and releases that warmth each night. The tipi set-up is for early season with just a small opening to allow water to enter and to prevent overheating. As the plant grows, each of the tubes will be filled to the top and the shape will change from tipi to column. When we are completely past any danger of cool evenings, the Wall of Water may be removed to allow the plant to grow to maturity.
